HalleHunneberg is owned by the Municipality of Vänersborg. We are also part of a collaborative agreement with the municipalities of Trollhättan, Grästorp, and Vänersborg regarding sustainable tourism development in the Halle and Hunneberg regions. The boundaries of all three of these municipalities extend into the Halle and Hunneberg regions.
The land on Halleberg and Hunneberg is owned and managed by Sveaskog, Sweden’s largest forest owner, which is owned by the Swedish government. Their mission is to create value from our forests and land through responsible, long-term management. They work to balance the ecological, economic, and social values of the forest and land to ensure viable forests for the future. This includes, among other things, developing the forest as a place for fishing, hunting, and other nature experiences.
